Above are some photos from the recent callback audition for the workshop of The Prophet Darla, all part of the brand-new WildWind Performance Lab. The group put in a typically stellar shift; everyone brought tremendous energy, commitment, and inventiveness to their work. It really made the play look and sound good, and it was thrilling to see it up on its feet, if only for a fleeting second. We even got to see a little experimentation with gender, putting men in the role of Darla and women in the role of Gladhand; the options for commentary there are endless. Thanks to dramaturg/director-for-a-day Chelsea Prettyman, and all those who auditioned. Up next: a chat with J Ranelli (pictured in photo number two) and Jay Kline!
